Exploring success and growth through work culture |
Is Work Worship? ' Work is worship' is an old adage. Although people all over the globe work to earn anything anyhow that might fulfil their dreams and desires yet only a few of them consider ' work is worship ' as the sole formula for their rightful and righteous success. Work is worship' is neither too difficult a path to follow nor it is too easy to trod.It requires a sense of devotion with dedication and discipline such that whatever has been achieved is first emotionally and consentiously surrendered in the Lotus Feet of the Omnipotent Supreme Reservoir of Energy. Real success comes to those who consider work with righteousness as their prime duty ordained by the prime governing principle to create peace and tranquillity of mind so that the world turns out to be the glorious heaven on earth. History is replete with success stories of those who practised ' work is worship ' as the sole formula for their rightful and righteous success. Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Tolstoy, Tagore, Steve Jobs, AjimPremji, Bachchan and many more throughout the world have achieved greatness because they practised ' work is worship ' in letter and spirit. World today is facing turmoil.Dissatisfaction has led to the incidences of heinous crimes like rapes and murders etcetera. Tension! Destruction!! Disaster!!! Why all this? Why are we running towards mental, social and moral suicide. The answer lies in the fact that we have lost the essence of work is worship. We work hard but not with the sense of worship. Worship requires devotion with dedication and discipline such that whatever has been achieved has the sense of service and selflessness. This can be achieved only if we learn to work like humble servants of the Supreme Father, to work like dutiful children of the Supreme Father and to love each other like earnest devotees of the Supreme Father as advocated by the great Saint and Philosopher Sir Anand Swarup. It is only then that the world will turn out to be the glorious heaven on earth and then we will be moving with satisfied, happy, glorious and dignified faces like angels on the face of this heavenly planet sheltered in side the vast cosmic delight-the milky way. -Lonefellow |
