I know things have to change,
I didn't think they'd change this fast,
It scares me because it shows,
How much time has gone past,

It shows me how much older,
You and I have both become,
And I know have to take up the mantle,
Take up everything, not just some,

It scares me because you're aging,
And you're closer to passing away,
I'm scared I won't be able to do it,
Now that I'm at that day,

The day you'll say your done,
And the time has come to see,
If I'll devastatingly disappoint you,
Or if I'll be ready,
