A poem with the slightest glimpse of poverty. |
POVERTY BY: THEODORE TESSENSOHN The children famished and cold, They could not afford anything, But still walking proud and bold, Along the alley happily singing. Facing many obstacles along the way, But they never seem to go astray, Poor they are but respect I say, Living their lives that God has lay. Accepting life without objection, Knowing that it was fate, Never showing a sign of dejection, This is life accept it mate. Their whole life shadowed by poverty, But still living on merrily, Happily just accepting reality, Life is short, spend it happily. |
