To My Daughter this is my confessions

To my darling daughter, I would like to start with I am not your friend. I wish that I could be but I will never be as mothers and daughters are ever at odds. If I am your friend that means you will do as you please and I will stand by and smile and congratulate you as friends do. I am your mother and what that means is I will always look out for you, I will call you on your faults and I will be brutally honest even when you don't want to hear my words but please understand I love you. You may believe that I am trying to take your fun away when in fact I am just trying to protect you and guess what I will do what is necessary to do so. One day when you are older you WILL understand no matter what we go through I love you and I will forgive you as you will forgive me. So now I should start, these are my words of wisdom I want to be honest with you no secrets and I hope you will listen and learn. I hope you will take the right path, I hope your lessons are easy and not hard. I want you to be everything that I am not.
