loving yourself < loving others

"you must love yourself before you can love someone else" is far from the truth.
sometimes the reason you can't love yourself is because you love another.
you look at them and you see the sun, the moon, the stars; you see beauty.
and then you look at yourself and wonder how you could compare; how you could dare feel beautiful, confident, happy when the one person you want most is too good for you?
and you cry. you cry so much because no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard they try to get you to see what they see, you just can't love yourself.
but you know, although you don't feel the same about yourself, you love them. you love them so fucking much it hurts.
