I took no time
to wrap myself around you
an unintentional anaconda
breathlessly drawing myself into you
taking you in
tying you up
blind
to illusions and fantasies
of blue sky futures
never seeing
your life
slowly being
squeezed
sucked away
leaving you
choking, gasping
grasping for freedom
to breathe again without me.
