This story is a dream puzzle, a murder mystery, and a horror story combined.

Lovers Lane is a dead end street with six houses. There are
three houses on each side of the street. Every house has two floors
and an outdoor porch in the back. Lovers Lane is connected to Main
Street.
The houses on the right side of Lovers Lane are numbered one,
three, and five. The houses on the left side of Lovers Lane are numbered
two, four, and six. House number one and house number two are the
closest to Main Street. House number one and two are directly across the
street from each other. House number three and four are directly across
the street from each other. House number five and six are directly across
the street from each other. House number five and six are at the end of
the street.
There is one person living in each house. There are three men
and three women. The men live in the houses that are numbered one,
three, and six. The women live in the houses that are numbered two, four,
and five.
All six people who live on Lovers Lane are average size. The three
men are close to average height and weight. The three women are close
to average height and weight.
All six people would play the lottery at least once a week. All six
people had a dream that they won the lottery, and their dreams came
true.
There are two golf courses about four miles north of Lovers Lane.
There is one golf course on each side of the road. The golf course on
the right side of the road is easier, and it has a shorter distance to the
holes.
There are mountains about five miles north of Lovers Lane. The
mountains are about one mile north of the golf courses. The mountains
are on both sides of the road. There are ski slopes on the mountains.
There are unpredictable weather patterns on Lovers Lane in
the summer. July is usually the most unpredictable month of the year.
The normal high temperature on Lovers Lane in July is 77 to 80 degrees.
There are usually three or more days in July when the temperature would
reach 90 degrees or higher, and there are usually five or more days in
July when the high temperature is 70 degrees or lower. It never snowed
on Lovers Lane in July. It snowed on Lovers Lane one time in August
within the last ten years, and it was on the last day of August at night.
The weather on Lovers Lane for the rest of the year is more
predictable. In the winter, spring, and fall, the temperatures are closer
to average.
John lives in house number one. It is a red house. He is a

true about three months later, and he won $600.
John and Mike are friends. In the warm weather, they would
go golfing together many times. They are very good golfers, and they
usually play on the harder of the two golf courses. Neither one of them
ever got a hole in one. In the winter, they would go skiing together many
times.
Jill and Mary are friends. In the warm weather, they would go
golfing together many times. They are fairly good golfers, and they
usually play on the easier of the two golf courses. Neither one of them
ever got a hole in one. In the winter, they would go skiing together many
times.
Betty and Bill have the least amount of communication with the
other people who live on Lovers Lane. They are basically indoor people,
but occasionally they would participate in outdoor activities.
Betty would go golfing once or twice a year with a friend who lives
on another street. They are fairly good golfers, and they usually play
on the easier of the two golf courses. Neither one of them ever got a
hole in one. Betty would never go skiing.
Bill would go golfing once or twice a year with a friend who lives
on another street. They are fairly good golfers, and they usually play
on the easier of the two golf courses. Neither one of them ever got a
hole in one. Bill would never go skiing.
There is a hospital about seven miles north of Lovers Lane.

hotel is about two miles north of the hospital. Bill works at the hotel.
He would drive very close to the mountains on his way to work.
There is an airport about ten miles north of Lovers Lane.
The airport is about one mile north of the hotel. Betty works at the
airport. She would drive very close to the mountains on her way to
work.
All six people who live on Lovers Lane would drive very close
to the mountains on their way to work.
On a Monday night in June at 11:15, Betty was in her living room
watching the news. She looked out the front window, and she saw
something. It was Bill. He was standing in the middle of the street,
and he was looking at her. Then he turned to his right, and then he
walked down the street. Then he stopped when he was in between
John's house and Jill's house. Then he turned to his left, and then he
walked into John's house.
The following is a summary of six dreams and nightmares that
some of the dreamers on Lovers Lane have experienced.

Dream 1:  The dreamer is walking on a sidewalk, and he or she
passes by a man and a woman. Both of them are
between five and six feet tall. The man is at least
two feet taller than the dreamer.

Dream 2:  The dreamer buys a lottery ticket, and wins at least $10,000.

Dream 3:  The dreamer is golfing, and gets a hole in one on a hole
                           that's over 150 feet long.

Dream 4:  The dreamer is driving a car next to a mountain. Then there's
an avalanche, and rocks fall down the mountain, and some
of the rocks hit the car.

Dream 5:  The dreamer goes to a social gathering in a public building,
and finds his or her soulmate. They had never seen each
other before. They were married within 90 days.

Dream 6:  The dreamer is inside of his or her house on a July night,
and looks out the front window. It's snowing on Lovers
                           Lane in July.

Considering every possibility, let's assume that every dreamer in all
six houses on Lovers Lane has had all six dreams. This only includes the
current residents. It does not include anyone else who may have lived in
one of the six houses on Lovers Lane within the last 500 years.

          1. Which dream is most likely to come true?

          2. Which one has the greatest chance of having the dream come true?

               A) John                 B) Jill

               C) Mike                 D) Mary

               E) Betty                 F) Bill

               G) The dream has an equal chance of coming true for every dreamer.

Fifty years ago, there was a young woman who lived alone in one of
the six houses on Lovers Lane who was murdered. Her name was Linda.
The murder happened on a Friday night on June 1st. Linda was stabbed
to death inside of her house. She was stabbed five times. She was robbed.
The murder was discovered the next day at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Linda was found dead. There was blood all over Linda's body, and there
was blood all over something else that was bigger than a window. The
murder was never solved. The house now has a new owner.
The house where the murder happened is directly across the street
from the house that has the same number as the dream which is most likely
to come true. For example, if dream number one is most likely to come
true, then the murder was committed in Jill's house because she lives
directly across the street from house number one, which is John's house.
Linda's house was very attractive. There were many items inside of
her house with exquisite designs. There were five paintings on the walls
in the living room.
The large item that was found at the murder scene with blood all
over it has 15 letters in its name. Most houses do not have this item.

If the answer to question two is A, B, or C, then the first two
letters in the name of this item are 'ca'.

If the answer to question two is D, E, or F, then the first two
letters in the name of this item are 'sp'.

If the answer to question two is G, then the first two letters
in the name of this item are 'tr'.

Linda was a beautiful, independent, lovely lady. She was very kind.
She had a desire of giving. Linda would give more today than yesterday.

          3. In which house was the murder committed?

               A) John's house                B) Jill's house

               C) Mike's house                D) Mary's house

               E) Betty's house                F) Bill's house

          4. What was found at the murder scene with blood all over it?
