A man dreams about his death only to wake up and die again. Is it a dream or is it real?
Here up the hill lay an old small house. On the walls of the house were green, curly vines which grew all the way to the roof. The house was painted white with only the roof and the doors in a chocolate brown color. Coming out of the house was an elderly man wearing a jumpsuit made of jeans and a dark, oceanic blue t-shirt inside. He was tall but tended to bent. His face was wrinkled and mature reflecting the hard life he had lived however one look at his smiling face and the wrinkled face would turn into the face of a happy, young boy. He had silver white hair that shined as the old man walked into his garden and sat down with his glass of fresh, minty lemonade. Here there were the tiny, colorful birds who would flutter around the majestic blend of red and white roses making a sound of silent buzzing as the birds picked their meals from the roses and drifted away. He watched as the clouds danced and played with the sun which incandescent the clouds. As he watched the beauty of nature unfold itself he felt his eyelids feeling heavy. Giving in to sleep he shuts his eye only to open them later to see his long, lost parents standing in front of him. An angelic aura surrounded them. The old man was bewildered but one looked at his mum and her warm, welcoming smile melted his heart and immediately discarding all confusion he walked towards his mother. "Perhaps it's time" he thought and as he walked away (with his parents holding both his hands like they did when he was little boy) he heard bells ringing in the distance.
A man wakes up hearing the sound of the loud bells echo throughout the train as it began to move again. Jake, having just witnessed a beautiful, emotional dream, wiped the tiny droplets that were creating a blurry vision in his eyes. Looking around there was no one in the train with Jake. An old lady tapped on his shoulders and smiled. The old lady was dressed like she came out of a black-and-white 90s movie. She wore all black and her skin was pale and wrinkled like an old dried plum. Jake kindly smiled back and looked away. Looking back Jake sees that the lady was gone. For a second he sat there confused with his heart racing fast. His mind being an expert at panicking immediately started replaying all the horror movies Jake had ever watched but common sense soon kicked in and Jake calmed down telling himself it was nothing. Suddenly the train roared with an excruciatingly painful cry causing Jake to cover his ears. The cries were so loud that Jake fell from his seat screaming in pain as the sound grew louder and louder. Every vibration could be felt in his body. Suddenly, the old lady appeared out of nowhere coming closer to Jake as the agonizing cries grew louder and louder. When she was only a centimeter away from Jake she screams. A dark crimson trail of blood starts coming out of Jake's nose and then slowly from his eyes, ears and soon from his mouth and he kept bleeding out until the whole train floor was filled with a river of red, thick shiny liquid.
Jake wakes up gasping for air, throwing his hands around in the air like a madman. Jake finds himself in the same train except this one was filled with people all who were at this moment judging the shabbily dressed, unshaved and dirty Jake. Jake sighed in relief for the realistic and agonizing experience was merely a nightmare. Jake takes out his wallet and stares at a picture of a young woman in her 20s around the same age as Jake, smiling back at him from the captured joyous moment. Her cheeks looked as soft as the skin of a peach and her eyes were a grey as clear as the river water. This was the woman with whom Jake shared his heart but all he got in return was betrayal. Shaking his head Jake began pacing around the train going all the way to the end until finally he stood outside of the train. The wind whipping his face he watched as the train took them through the desert. Life had taken a toll on Jake and not wanting to face it anymore he decided to bid life adieu and so with a thud Jake lay lifeless in the middle of the desert alone.
Jake jolts up from his chair dropping the papers that were resting on his laps as he was dreaming. He looks down at the black and white papers and notices that most of the headlines were suicides and train accidents which stood out in the paper since they were written in big bold black letters making it extremely hard not to notice it. Jake sighs and bends down lazily picking it up. Jake then turns around at his empty table. Throwing the newspaper on it he looks around to find himself at a lavish restaurant. Despite the visually appealing environment there lingered a mysterious smell of burned flesh in the restaurant. It was the kind of smell you'd pick up at gas stations. The very thought of it triggered panic n fear in Jake and he began to run but he wasn't fast enough for his worst fear caught up to him, literally. The whole restaurant turned into hell on earth, cries and alarms went off and figures ran everywhere pushing kicking and fighting each other. Hot, blazing fire emerged from the end of the hall. There lying on the floor crushed by the large mass of people running for help was Jake who lay there frozen in fear. His body refusing to move the last thing he saw was his blue eyes reflecting a demon-like fire swoop him.
