In her small, one room place, Elaine Black was reading the newspaper with a pumpkin spice latte. She never strayed from tradition, nor did anything strange. She was the most ordinary, plain girl anybody had ever seen. That was the way she liked it. She enjoyed being a stone in a rock garden; a blade of grass in a forest; a floor tile in a bathroom. An ordinary among many other ordinaries. The clock struck ten and she finished her latte and folded up the newspaper. “Well, time to go see my doctor,” she said. As she was putting on her right shoe, she noticed something odd. She noticed that there was a piece of paper underneath it. She picked it up and read the contents. ‘I don’t want to interact with you anymore. I can’t stand it!’ Elaine sighed. “That’s the fifth psychiatrist I’ve lost this week!”
