Halloween Party

Today's the last day of October.
I'm here at the park with my friend.
She's having a Halloween party,
And asks me if I will attend.

Of course! I say with a smile,
I'll be at your house by eleven.
Oh, no! she exclaims rather loudly.
You're late if you're not there by seven!

I nod at her in agreement,
Then begin walking back down the street.
I'll go home and put on my costume,
And later we'll all trick-or-treat!
