Monster Candy

Trick or Treating time is fun
Best part though is when your done

Searching through your candy sacks
So many days worth of snacks

Bedtime comes and off you go
Morning time comes way to slow

Rush right to your bag of tricks
All you see is sucker sticks

Empty wrappers leave a trail
Come across a big long tail

4 big monsters in my bed
Shocked I simply shake my head

What the heck is going on here
I'm in such awe there is no fear

Sitting there with my candy
They look so happy dandy

Trick or treating they can't do
Yes they're monsters it is true

They ask me to join the crew
Jumped right in, what else to do

They asked me if I would share
I agreed because I care

Monsters deserve candy too
It's just the fair thing to do

We sat there and ate it all
Laughed and giggled, had a ball

That was the best Halloween
