Gone With The Wind

She fluttered through life on broken wings
gasping, searching for refuge
in low and high places

Landing on solid grounds and quick sands
she grew weary
but over came strong winds and mighty rains

Storming and thunderous invaded journeys
never traveling in packs
she beat the air
in her lonesome
in search of her final destination

Her truth
the knot in her throat
the stirring in her soul
and the symphonies in her stomach
bellowed sweet sounds of freedom

Reminding her over and over
