Christmas day

A Christmas prayer,
For my little boys,
Because I'm not there,
To give you your toys.

But Christmas means more,
Than gadgets and sweets,
To be thankful of family,
Now that's a real treat.

Although I'm not with you,
And we are apart,
The distance can not change,
What I feel in my heart.

So smile my lads,
And tonight rest your heads,
Knowing my heart will be with you,
At the foot of your beds.
