Voice of Reason (VoR): "It can't be done."

D: "I'll do it."

VoR: "You cannot do it."

D: "Let me try."

VoR: "All those before you have failed."

D: "But I have a better way."

VoR: "Many have suffered grievous injuries."

D: "I don't fear injury."

VoR: "Some have not returned."

D: "I would not wish to return if I did not succeed."

VoR: "A few have suffered unspeakable tortures at the hands of monstrous demons.

D: "Ok, now you're just trying to freak me out. Demons? And they call you the Voice of Reason?"

VoR: "One woke up in a bathtub filled with ice and all of his internal organs had been surgically removed."

D [with hands covering his ears]: "La-la-la-la-la-la- I can't hear you. Nothing will stop me. I'll do it with your help or without."
