Three weeks with you

When I found you I thought I had found my soul,
Instead I lost my soul and almost my life,
You said you loved me, but you hurt me so much,
You wanted me forever but I had to find away out,

My sanity was driven to the brink in just 3 weeks,
Your habit almost killed me watching your extreme,
Ups and downs your paranoia, the hurt you felt at, the
Thought of taking more.

No you weren't strong enough to give up the drugs,
But I was strong enough to leave, now I am living with the,
Consequences of being with you,
The fear, isolation and sheer lack of knowledge on how to
Deal with a drug addict,

How to help, when to leave, how the drugs took over your mind,
And controlled what you done and when,
The out of control spiralling when you were coming down,
The manic idiocy when you were high, the inhuman strength,

I can still feel your arms clamped around my head like a vice,
Ready to crush me if you could, one night with you that I'll never forget,
It's not the fact that you didn't stop it's what you done and the pain
You caused. I have help now but it will take so long to put my life back,
Back together again,

Yes that is right it was only my life, my life that was full of love, hope and
Happiness, that is now a huge gaping whole after only three weeks with you ......

This is only the first stage of getting back to normal it's going to take a very very long time ............. I will get back to where I was thankfully I have some wonderful friends who have shown that they care and are prepared to support me through this.

Do not ever take drugs and addicts lightly both can ruin your life in weeks with no thought or regard to you. They find you with everything you want and leave you with nothing at all.
