Happiness in newness

There is a joy in new places,
New roads and lanes to explore;
The sky is brighter,
People around merrier,
Shopkeepers greet cheerily ,
The children in the park are carefree;
My heart's burden feels lighter,
My strides are of youthful fire,
My lips curve into an easy-smile;
Softness in my voice I hear
A soothing calm engulfs
All the worries seem of past.
Therefore,when my heart is teary,
I look for a new place.

New places aren't in distant lands
But within the depths of our hearts and minds
If only we look more often
We will find happiness at just a breath away.
