A twisted little poem about the deepest of depths, where I'll be free. |
-Into The Sea- by Keaton Foster Wading Waiting The depths Glorious The shallows Unbearable Into the sea Reoccurring This dream An escape From fate Closer to shore There are creatures Feasting galore Killing their kind Building their shrines False are such God’s Who rule They are certain Nothing can escape Even a man such a me Beyond them Deeper still Into the swirling blue Facing certain truth Into the sea Alone By myself I’m wondering One more step And I’ll be free Falling down Blackness abound Into the cold abyss From which A return Is no option Into the ether Of nothing sparred I’ll never be found Because no one will look No one will dare They wish nothing Of what’s down there Its only me Who dreams Of such a void Into the sea Inch by inch Wading Unafraid Because fear itself Holds no place In my life And in my death Unconcerned There is no next There is just an abyss A kingdom of emptiness In which I Will reign supreme Because down there In the deepest of depths Where I’ll be placed Where I’ll be kept No one else will be I’ll be alone All by myself Will it be heaven Will it be hell Neither matters to me I’ll be free from those Closer to shore The ones wishing me harm The ones wishing me no escape Into the sea Headlong I’ll flee Beyond these shallows Is a depth That I alone must go… Into The Sea Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2016. |
