Just throw the potion!

Glarion tip-toed along the corridor, wand in hand. Ahead of him were the Captain (no-one knew her real name, she was just 'the Captain'), enormous sword drawn, and Pinky the Thief (shorter than the rest of the group but deadly with those daggers); behind came Pleasance, who had to crouch down to fit in the corridor and had no chance of fighting with that pole.

Suddenly, the Captain stopped so they all stopped. She drew a device out of her pocket and held it to her ear. Although she spoke no word, Pleasance disappeared and was replaced by Hardy, also carrying a sword that changed instantly into a cross-bow. Then the Captain resumed her journey and they all followed after her as before.

It was all very confusing. Glarion enjoyed the outside, looking at the sky and the trees. He wasn't so keen on the fighting. The Captain swung her sword around with gay abandon, rarely bothering to block, although that put their supply of potions under pressure. Whenever she got low on health, one of them would throw a potion over her; sometimes two of them did it at the same time, which really annoyed him. His main task, however, was to deploy the best type of magic to destroy the enemy in front of them. Now that he'd learned 'scan', that was pretty straightforward.

They were nearing the main chamber, now, the one they'd been travelling towards. Butterflies began to flutter in Glarion's stomach as they passed under the arch. In the middle of the room, an enormous creature squatted, waiting.

'You don't belong here!' yelled the Captain and charged.

Then... everything froze. The player had hit the 'pause' button.
