My memories of my adopted dad.
Not In My Bedroom Again

Not in my bedroom again
My skin begins to crawl
As I hear his footsteps in the hall.

Not in my bedroom again
I can’t help but cringe
When I hear the creak of the hinge.

Not in my bedroom again
I want to run and hide
Having no one in which to confide.

Not in my bedroom again
I feel him sitting on my bed
As I wish he was dead.

Not in my bedroom again
As he begins to touch I gasp
He’s poisonous as an asp.

Not in my bedroom again
I become stiff as a board
It’s me he wants to hoard.

Not in my bedroom again
Stuck in a fight I cannot win
Unable to wash away this sin.

Not in my bedroom again
He’s done his dastardly deed
My pleas to which he paid no heed.

Not in my bedroom again
I want to run away
Just so I can make him pay.

Not in my bedroom again
A horrible story to tell
So many people know too well.
