Too Distant To Be Far


A journey taken to a place
beyond the farthest star.
Unmeasured by the time it took,
too distant to be far.

Such sights are seen along the way
as beacons in the night.
The stars will cry and tears will shine
like diamonds glowing white.

We ride upon the solar winds,
entwined in dreams and fate.
Brave Knights of Earth upon a quest,
the compass setting straight.

The vastness of the universe
holds remnants of a home.
So for now we face our task,
forever doomed to roam.

Still we trek with wind and sail
into the great beyond.
In search of hope there is no fail,
the gift of life our bond.
