Tell me, what's in a day?
Tell me, what's in a day?
They say life makes the movie,
As 24 hours pass by
Insignificant.
24 by 24,
The number doubles
And more and more,
I feel as if the film has broke,
Routine clouds of blinding smoke.

And tell me, what's in a kiss?
Is this really what we're travelling for,
Really what we're paying for,
Some hollow confirmation?
It's all these people really want,
And all I want to know,
Why an addiction to making out,
Is the only thing that makes us go

To the outside, just to get inside.
To the open wild of the spot lit night.
Climbing up the spiral staircase,
I go round and round.
From the inside, to return outside.
We see the strings, so we take flight.
I climb the spiral staircase, just to
End up falling down.

Tell me what's in a day,
From floor 1 to 24,
The spiral keeps on spinning,
The top floor takes you back to 1.
You find that you have just begun,
When you've finally cracked the code.
You find that you have just begun,
When you've finally cracked the code.

You find that you have just begun,
When you've finally cracked the code.
