If I Disappeared

Wondering if someone would look for me if I disappeared.

If I Disappeared

I wonder what you’d do
if I disappeared forever.
Would you try to find me,
or pretend I never existed?

If I faded into the distance,
would you search far and wide
Until you found me in the clouds;
or would you let me slip away unseen?

If I soared away with the winds,
would you look high and low,
while letting me chase my dreams;
or would you shoot me down to failure?

Again I ask what you would do,
if I disappeared forever.
Would you do your best to find me;
or would you simply pretend I don’t exist?
