Sometimes you just need to get away.

Hideaway

I need a little hideaway
Some place not too far away
Where I can have a quiet day.

I need a place to go
Where my pen on the paper can flow
And my mind is free to roam.

I need time to stand still
While I work with ink and quill
Where all around me is tranquil.

I need others to stop talking
I want my legs to start walking
I command my mind to stop stalling.

I wish so much to write something
A lot of joy I want to bring
Yet I come up with nothing.

I need a little hideaway
Someplace not too far away
Where I can have a quiet day.
