Ugly Like Rain

This life is ugly like rain,
messy, uncomfortable, cold,
dark and foreboding,
clouded in a storms anger,
obscuring a free mind
and doors to the sights beyond,
empty thresholds
keeping a dreamer inside,
not wanting to come out,
drawing, enticing, beckoning,
covering all that is good,
it saturates the very soul,
cleansing a bodie's filth,
washing away the past,
the decay forms a faceless foe
to usher in the sun,
nourishing growth to give worth,
bringing back the living from the dead,
creating a new world
and a new life,
beautiful like rain
