A land where money-looting is the order of the day

When shall thee wake up from thy slumber?
When shall truth and sincerity be of our leaders?
When shall the ever crumbling Naira and Kobo be saved?
When shall transparency be in the so-called “Giant of Africa”?

New flags and anthems being raised and sung on same land
Nigeria a country with four different countries in it
Nigeria a country were peace and security are rare visitors
Nigeria a country with vast amount of land but still hunger is a regular occurrence
Nigeria a country known as the “Giant of Africa”, but smaller than a baby in act

Sunrise in the east, Sunrise in the west
Little children always having dashed dreams
Politicians filling pockets that can never be full, ready for feasting
Smoking and drinking a daily routine for teenagers even oldies
NIGERIA it is time for you to be resurrected.
