Short story. For House of Grey Joy GoT event
I am running late for the charity ball. The mantra played over and over within my mind as I situated my gold dress so that it lay pleasingly along my figure. I pulled on my heels in the same shade as the dress and descended down the stairs. The pleasure of how I looked was plainly written on my friend Matt's face and my cheeks became flushed with red in embarrassment. I never could see myself the way others did.

Matt looked really handsome in his black suit, gold cuff links, and tie. I thought I had never seen a finer sight. Matt offered his hand, and I smiled warmly at him. Taking his offered hand, we left to attend the charity ball.
