I Am The American Flag

I have mourned the fallen
And salute those who serve.

There is no story of glory and fame
for which I claim.

I have been revered and hated.
For nothing more than being
Who I am.

No opinion or prejudice do I have.
I have seen many come and go.
The good and the bad.
I do not have one Commander and
Chief. I stand only with the country and
Peoples for whom I serve.

You will find me in places that represent
the values for which this nation was built.
I have seen the progress. And have seen the
setbacks.

I stand tall amongst those who represent
The courage and strength of this great country,
The United States of America.
