The Autumn chill now begins to stir,
Emerging from it's summer sanctuary,
A bear out of hibernation,
It takes hold of the land,
And from it creates a mural of color,
The lush green leaves do turn,
To vibrant yellow,
To bold red,
To lifeless brown,
The leaves wither,
Die,
And fall to the earth,
Fallen soldiers against a merciless enemy,
To their mother home returned,
The trees stand bare now,
A skeleton of their former selves,
Seemingly lifeless,
Autumn sweeps across the land,
Swift as a summer storm,
Curtaining the with earth with a blanket of fog,
A chill,
Mysterious fog,
That will never render up its secrets.
