Vanquished
Laid to rest
Baltimore grave
Raven in first light
Ultimately revered
Nevermore plotting vengeance
Falls, the tell-tale house of Usher
Ghostly apparition cries, "Lenore!"
Whispered admonition, heartless dagger

"Reynolds!" voice called, with his last anguished breath
Stark nightmares haunted his writing life
Nothing buried, empty coffin
White caged horrors of his mind
Rumors of drink long past
Dreams that never were
Snared wine cellar
Brick entombed
