poem describing growing up with my brother |
what is it about having a brother where he understands you like no other? because he was there during the episodes of lighting and thunder? or is it because you used to take bubble baths together? when there was no one else, we had each other; from building igloos of snow to building forts in the summer. some of my favorite moments include playing action figures together, sharing happy gilmore laughter, and how we would just hang together. "would you like to be batman, while i'm the pink ranger?" play fighting like jackie chan; screaming 'gum' and pretending danger. the pinnacle mountain explorations; and the discoveries of our own imagination. remember the crocodile flotations and sega genisis for relaxation? young minds with simple creation; we never believed in limitations. can never forget the hanging of our christmas decorations... from mickey's christmas carols to icicle christmas light complications. and as the days continue, straight on through pass high school; i'll never forget the smell of the air after you spilt that gas fuel. and during my senior year i'd drive you with me to school, because my freshman brother was absolutely cool. i am so lucky to be able to say, "i have a loving brother every day." i see who he is, and i see his heart; once he's committed he'll never fall short. never giving up, he's being a man, by consistently sticking to his ultimate plan. I'm sorry ms jackson, i am for real.... I'm not trying to make this a big ordeal. but trust me when i say "he is one of a kind" ... the proof is in the way his smile shines. |
