Head in the Clouds

Feathers
Brush my skin and
Push the air away
As I steadily rise,

I feel
the wind
Caressing my skin and
Cleansing me,

I smell
The ocean and
The desert sands and
I feel so cold way up here.

The clouds
Gently creep past me,
Stroking the bottoms of my feet
But there is something different

Up here it is all
Quiet and something else I cannot place
I am starting to miss
The songs of the surface

So far down
I almost forget but I cannot
The clamor of life and the
Echoing songs of
Happiness.
