This is a poem written as a comical story about a womanizing man |
"Where are you love?" "Oh love where are you hiding, is that you I see underneath the old willow tree?" "Here they come, look over yonder they come from across the flowing creek, they come, hear my plea." They must have been fed some pickled lemons for the puckering faces that I see. "Oh, my!" I exclaimed, "most goodness gracious, they come for that man hiding near the honey bees." They asked me where he might be I smiled, pointed my finger towards the tree and said, "There he be!" Those humming little bumble bee's looked angry as those women, as I saw the trouble he could not see. "Run for the water!" "Cover your head with the Lilly's." "Run quickly!" I loudly cried. "They are coming for you, You make me laugh," "what a sight you are," I spoke, enjoying the irony of all the makeshift trouble you do. He went running as fast as his legs could carry him, And commenced to dump his head into a water pot. This is a story of the man and the vexed women, A very lucky man saved from a vengeance plot. I guess one might say the honeybees saved the day, The bees in their madness chased those girls away. So I did laugh hard at the man who flew past me, With a panic look on his face with nothing to say. Funniest sight I ever did see the crazed honeybees, The one I loved standing under that old willow tree. You reap what you sow as you sow the wrong seeds, You just might feel the sting of some crazed honeybees. |
