Day 1 - Plot: What If? Sebastian is the crown prince of the Esout Empire. Many citizens believe he is unfit for the throne, because he might be the bastard child of Emperor John and Sebastian’s nurse Esther. The only thing keeping Sebastian popular is his social charisma and political wit. He desires to become more respected as heir to the throne. There is a continental war raging between the Esout Empire and Wesnorh. It initially started with a rebellion is Esnorh after its regent agreed to have the Empire overtake it. The rebels developed connections with the Wesnorh chieftain, Constantine, resulting in Wesnorh’s entry into the war. Over time other countries under Esout control began to sever their ties with the Empire. Sebastian uses this as an opportunity to gain more respect from his people. Unfortunately, his military advisors have ulterior motives. Sebastian is actually the son of Constantine and Princess Esther of Wesout, and the younger brother of the future chief Augustine. His mother ran away from Wesnorh due to Constantine’s neglect and his romantic affair. Her parents gave her to Esout Emperor John to prevent an eventual takeover. Esther became the nursemaid of John’s legitimate children while her newborn son Sebastian was elevated to crown prince of the Esout Empire. Sebastian became actively involved in the war after his betrothed, Princess Janette of Esnorh, was revealed to be in charge of a spy ring for the Esnorh rebellion. |
