Words create worlds and images tell me a story... Is it similar to empathy?

Reading words well written
conjures images.
People and places in my head.
The things they see,
the things they feel,
the things they said.
No two bring them to life the same way.

Words are images.
Images are feelings.
Feelings expressed in words.
Beauty or ugliness
move you just as much.

Who is the creator -
the writer or the reader?
Each a different part of the whole.
The chicken or the egg.
No one without the other.
What is a writer without and audience.

A silent voice.
