The thumping black

Is it normal for the darkness to thump,
the pain to protrude through your skin and form in lumps
Bloody bulges a suffering and defeat
The sensation burns, it’s the pain of deceit

Is it normal for the blue sky to cry?
Tears on my back and tears in my eyes
The coolness of the water on my back
Though I will never forget the thumping black

Is it normal for people to die?
The ground wrap around them, forever they lie
Do memories fade in that state of death
Or do you remember when you lose your breath.
