Keith slowly walked the city streets just north of his small apartment in Brooklyn. It was a busy place in the day but he didn't mind, he never left during the day time and mostly just walked alone at night. His life was simple as that. Sleep in and watch movies when the sun was out and the second the moon hit the star ste sky he would wonder out to the abandoned streets and think for hours of how and why things were. Keith was a college graduate with two jobs and an ill mother. With nothing more to do with his time he took up a photography class and now has a set website to book him for events. But his little known existence in the world made this side task a bit less of a job and more of a hobby he could earn a few bucks from.

A tall man in a suit brushed past the brunet pulling him back to the real world. Often his mind would go off and he would find him from standing in line to get a coffee to sitting up in bed the next morning having little memory of the past day. With all that aside he could well remember yesterday no matter how hard he tried to forget. His mother has been sick with lung cancer for years now and was told it was because of her smoking addiction. The thing was she never touched any nicotine products in her life. Now with less time to ask how she managed to get every sign of a heavy smoker, including the raspy voice, and more time to talk about who was going in her will Keith McBard was being taken back to his hometown of Lakewood Texas to say goodbye to his mom.

Tragic as it was he didn't care much to cry. He was a smart man and understood emotions were a useless set back on what a human could do. In the time someone who was a emotional mess over a loved one cried he had already packed his things and gotten a house sitter. His options of how to live had opened when he let go of his tears and even his smile. Now walking the city street to get to the bus station and finally the airport his whole body felt numb. Not from the cold weather of late fall or the bags he carried with him, the numb and empty feeling was just how he felt sadness with no tears or grief...
