Harumi's first journey (334 words)

When Harumi went out of her brother’s apartment house, she found a girl standing near the door. The girl blushed, turned around, and started to run away when Harumi called to her. She said she is one of her brother’s classmates.
“Natsuo’s gone abroad since last summer,” Harumi said.
“I’ve forgotten about that,” the girl said, and she left.

Harumi went home and prepared for her first international journey. It was not sightseeing. She had to persuade her brother to go back home. He should have come back earlier, but he insisted he wanted to stay there for a little while.
“How long do you want to stay there?” she asked.
“I don’t know. As long as I can,” Natsuo said, and the Skype calls were getting disconnected.
The next day, she managed to connect to Skype, but he was so angry that he wouldn’t meet her.
“But I’ve already bought airline tickets,” she said, not knowing what to say.
“I don’t want to talk to you anymore,” he said.
Since then, she lost communication with her brother. And she was scheduled to leave the day after tomorrow.

The next day, she asked Natsuo’s friends if they knew the reason why he won’t come back, but nobody couldn’t answer. Though she was tired, she started packing up her things when the doorbell rang. She opened the door and found the girl she had met in front of Natsuo’s apartment house standing there.
The girl, whose name was Kumi, explained that she was Natsuo’s girlfriend, but they didn’t talk to each other since they had quarreled bitterly last summer.
“If things go on like this, he’ll never come back. I want to apologize to him,” Kumi said in a low voice.

The following day, when Harumi started to go to the airport, she received an international call from her brother.
“I’m sorry. You can call on me whenever you will,” he said.
She wanted to cry but decided to visit him.
She was getting ready!
