The Darkness Within

           Pitch black outside and in, you feel like you're drowning in it.
The darkness within has captured me and I can't break free from their silent screams.
You feel like there is nothing that you can do.
What is this feeling, you may ask?
It is the feeling of neglect and depression mixed into one big emotion.
Always thinking this must be what love feels like.
It should not be this way, at least that's what I'm told.
If this is what love feels like, I don't want it anymore.
Have you ever felt like you're falling down a never-ending black hole and can't find your way back to reality?
Leave me to where I am alone, standing in the darkness.
