Searching for purpose.
Soul Search

From deep inside of me
there is a little soul
just longing to fly free.

See the eagle flying on air
knowing I’m not free
leaves me in a pool of despair.

Oh how I long to touch the stars
but in my prison I sit
surrounded by unbreakable bars.

How long must I fear
the coming of final days
and the dawning of a new year.
