I grew up visiting my grandfather's ranch. Every summer he would have a Pow Wow for my grandmother's folk's. It was amazing to watch their different dances and ceremonies. Of course I always loved to watch the wedding's. A very rich culture in ceremonies. Of course that all ended when my grandfather passed away. They sold the ranch because grandma couldn't keep it up by herself. They will always be find memories for me. I can honestly say that my grandpa was a Cowboy. He was the head foreman for one of the largest ranches in Eastern Oklahoma in his younger days.
My grandmother is Cherokee, still looking into it for more information on her family and their origin. But, for now this is what we've been told. We do plan on researching more in 2020 and see where it takes us.
