I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

I woke up, couldn't sleep,
Thoughts silly, not deep,
tired but couldn't sleep,
some nagging thought,
I guess.


Decided to check a few notes,
messages,
all mixed up,
as mixed up
as my thoughts,

Then I saw the little note,
it caused tear bubbles
in my throat,
a tinkling of laughter,
in these dark times.

It quite simply said,
long time
no see,
it didn't say it that way,
it had it's own way of saying it,
so you are getting this back,
just wanted you to know,
I Forgot how much I love You,
long time friend, buddy, pal,
writing companion,
thanks for reminding me.
Words can not express what it meant to me,
it's storming outside,
it still dark and my little dog got scared and ran under my feet as I am typing this for comfort.
