When my son and I made it to the top of Wilder Tower - Chickamauga Battlefield in Georgia.

We Made It to the Top

We took the dare that day,
step by step we climbed.
Each new height bringing new fear,
ignored by us; challenge must be met.

One by one we took each stair,
facing our nemesis of height.
We were determined to beat the odds,
defeat could not be an option.

Step by step we climbed,
encouraging one another.
Fear forced to flee; my son,
we made it to the top!
