The start and end of something new and beautiful
Things are always better together,

First you have the dark

Then you are given the light

Glimpses of light gleam through the clouds

Painting a rainbow of color just above the trees

The paint of the sky smears the fragments of light

Soon the light will be gone

But not quite yet...

The movie of the sunrise will play over

And over in your mind

And the stories you tell,

They will soon start to distort

Until it becomes something new

something better, something brighter

Something unexpected and much redder

Showers of heavenly light rain down from the sky

As the spectrum of color grows

It will grow and grow until it’s too wide for your mind to contain

Your head is boggled, and it will be for a good while

Until the fateful day of your memories demise

It will have lived all of its life

When the story of light has been told, more than it can be told

And grown, larger than it has grown before

And it can't grow any longer

Until the only thing that is left is the feeling

Of the memory when it was big and bright and something new

Now the sun has dulled down into a faint glow

the memory of the start of the day

Will fade into the end of the day at night

And the sun will transform into the moon

And the memory of the sunrise you say is gone

Until tomorrow, you will remember there is a surviving light

It survives another half a day until the moon is set

And the sun will rise again from just below the trees

Just like the day before

Even though you forgot the light from the past

You have the light of the present

that is bigger

Better and brighter than before

Even if you remembered the light from before

You would forget all about it, because nothing can

Or ever will compare to the now
