Treasured

There are times I must be away.
Relegated to my own small space,
Easy for a short time, perhaps.
Absence makes me fond of nothing.
So please, let the time pass quickly,
Until we are together once again.
Reuniting with my family will be sweet.
Even though we can talk and text,
Distance is still an awful thing.
