An English Madrigal poem about the awakening of nature during spring
Green Spring

Each spring, we see the Earth explode in green
to mark the welcome end of winter's freeze
as leaves begin to grow again on trees.

The rabbits leave their burrows looking lean
while grassy meadows ripple in the breeze.
Each spring, we see the Earth explode in green
to mark the welcome end of winter's freeze.

The longer days promote a change of scene,
where flowers bloom attracting honey bees,
and birds return from journeys overseas.
Each spring, we see the Earth explode in green
to mark the welcome end of winter's freeze
as leaves begin to grow again on trees.
