TOO HEAVY TO FLY, BACK TO HIS BEE HIVE POOR BERTRAM, HAD LOST ALL OF HIS DRIVE. IN THE MEADOW, BERTRAM WAILED "OH MY GOODNESS, WHAT A MESS" HOW WILL HE MAKE IT TO HIS NEST? IN HIS MISSION, BERTRAM FAILED STUCK IN THE FIELD, THE POOR LITTLE BEE. BERTRAM CRIED ,FOR HIS LOST GLORY; FOR THE QUEEN WOULD NEVER HEAR HIS STORY TO HIS FRIENDS, HE SENT A PLEA; "HELP ME PLEASE, I'M STUCK YOU SEE." BERRY BOY BEE FLEW FROM FAR AWAY; TO HEAR THE SAD TALE OF BERTRAM BEE. HE LISTENED CLOSELY, HE DID INDEED. WHILE IN THE MEADOW, HIS FRIEND DID LAY; HE WAS GLAD TO SEE,THAT BERTRAM WAS STUCK. HE COULD STEAL ALL THE POLLEN, WITH ANY LUCK. BERRY BOY'S PLAN WAS GREEDY AND MEAN. HE WOULD MAKE HONEY FOR HIS QUEEN; AND TAKE THE CREDIT LEAVING BERTRAM BEHIND. BERRY BOY BEE WAS NOT VERY KIND. WITH A SMIRK AND A LAUGH, BERRY BOY BRAGGED TO HIS QUEEN, HE'D GIVE HONEY SO SWEET. BY HER SIDE, HE WOULD TAKE HIS SEAT. WHEN BERTRAM HEARD, HIS SPIRITS DRAGGED. "KING HE'D BE, WOULD BERRY BOY BEE?" ALL THEIR BEE FRIENDS WOULD KNOW HIS NAME. BERRY BOY BEE WOULD SEEK HIS FAME; AND BERTRAM BEE CRIED FOR ALL TO SEE. "WHAT A SAD DAY, FOR POOR LITTLE ME!" BERRY BOY BUZZED, TO THE FLOWER NEARBY. HE GATHERED THE POLLEN WITH ALL HIS MIGHT. HE GOBBLED IT ALL WITHIN HIS SIGHT. HE STUMBLED AND MUMBLED, AND LET OUT A SIGH. HIS POOR LITTLE BELLY BEGAN TO ACHE. HIS BODY, BEGAN TO QUIVER AND SHAKE. BERRY BOY BEE WAS SOON TO SEE; WHAT ALL HIS GREED HAD BROUGHT TO BARE. THIS BUSY BEE ,COULDN'T FLY ANYWHERE. BERRY BOY BEE ,FELL HARD TO THE GROUND. BY BERTRAM'S SIDE, HE LAID AND HE CRIED "OH BERTRAM MY PAL, I MUST CONFIDE I AM THE WORST LITTLE BEE, FROM ALL AROUND. FOR MY GREED, YOU SEE, GOT THE BETTER OF ME." " I PROMISE, MY FRIEND, TO NEVER BE MEAN; OF GREED AND GLORY, I WILL NEVER DREAM" BERRY BOY BEE, SPOKE THIS APOLOGY BERTRAM BEE, WAS GLAD INDEED; BERRY BOY BEE ADMITTED HIS CRIME. THEY COULD NOW BE FRIENDS, FOR ALL OF TIME. BERTRAM SANG. " FORGIVEN YOU ARE FOR THIS WRONG DEED, BUT OUR PROBLEMS AHEAD ARE BIGGER INSTEAD." " FOR OUT OF THIS FIELD, WE MUST FIND A WAY BACK TO OUR HIVE, ON THIS FINE DAY." NOW WORRY AND FEAR, FILLED BERTRAM'S HEAD. TO BERRY BOY BEE, BERTRAM DECLARED " THE TWO OF US, WE'LL NEED A PLAN; AS FRIENDS TOGETHER, I'M SURE WE CAN, FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM WE'VE SHARED." BERRY BOY BEE TO BERTRAM ANNOUNCED "THE ANSWER IS CLEAR FOR ALL TO SEE. WE'LL FLY TOGETHER, AS FRIENDS SHOULD BE" SO UP OFF THE GROUND, BERRY BOY BOUNCED. "SIDE BY SIDE, WE'LL TRAVEL HOME. WING IN WING, WE'LL SEEK OUR HIVE. AS A TEAM, WE WILL ARRIVE. TOGETHER, WE'LL FIND OUR HONEYCOMB." BERRY BOY BEE ,SHOUTED ALOUD; "HOLD MY WING, AWAY WE'LL FLY. WITH ALL OF OUR MIGHT, SHALL WE GIVE IT A TRY? LET'S MAKE OUR QUEEN, TOGETHER PROUD!" AWAY THEY FLEW, TOGETHER THIS DAY. BUDDIES AND PALS, THESE CUTE LITTLE BEES. "THANK YOU BERTRAM, AND KINDLY PLEASE" BERRY BOY BEE WAS HEARD TO SAY "TO OUR FRIENDS, WE'LL TELL OUR TALE. LET'S TEACH THE LESSONS ,THAT WE'VE LEARNED, AND SHARE THE CREDIT ,THAT WE'VE EARNED.
