A short poem about medication and mental health.
Sometimes medication
Can feel like an indoctrination
I'm not happy
But that's just genetics
I was formed by life's composer
Perhaps I was meant to have this so-called disorder
Now I take a little white pill
It prevents hallucinations
So they say
To allow the ability to retain emotion
Not like I was using it anyway
Every day is a fight
Battling this eternal blight
I feel like I've been thrown against the stones
I'm not safe
Not even in my own home
Trapped in the lost and found
The only true ending to this madness
Is six feet underground
