The Terror Within

sometimes when I don't expect it
the darkness within me wails of fear and anger
I move carefully
watching out of the corner of my eye
I don't want to bring his notice
but...
so fast I didn't see him in time
he grabs me and throws me against the wall and window
I cry out
the glass breaks
and I slide to the floor
the warm stench fills my nostrils
humiliated, I pissed myself again
he turns away
