Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

2 cups flour

2 cups milk

1 cup butter, melted

1 quart apples, pared and sliced

Cinnamon to taste (optional).

Mix sugar, salt, and flour and gradually add the milk. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan well with some of the butter. Place cut up apples in the bottom of the baking dish. Mix sugar, salt, flour, and cinnamon, gradually adding milk to make a smooth batter. Add the remaining butter to the mixture and pour over apples in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes until brown.
