Late night thoughts
Water soothes,
Until it drowns,
Dragging you under,
Gasping for air,
Vision blurred,
Silence deafening,
The surface fades,
Too far to reach,
So the bottom welcomes,
Lost souls of the abyss,
Oxygen depleting,
Fear climaxed,
Hopeless,
Numb,
For a moment peace embraces,
Replaced by the reapers grasp,
Death’s new pet,
Eternally floating,
Through the waves of misery.
